The Hurley Owners Association advertises the details of vessels in good
faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information
nor warrant the condition of the vessels. A buyer should instruct his
agents, or his surveyors, to investigate such details as the buyer desires
note that one of our members who put a Wanted advert on this page
had an e-mail reply from foreign parts inviting him to transfer funds
before the item was dispatched. This was obviously a fraud. He didn't
fall for it, please ensure that you don't either! We also had
a member who was advertising an item for sale on this page. The "buyer"
sent a cheque for £3000 more than the sum agreed. The buyer then
contacted the seller and explained that this was a mistake and could
he please cash the cheque and send her the £3000. Needless to
say he didn't fall for it and neither should you. Be warned!
also seem to be attempts to defraud people who put Wanted adverts on
the site, where the writer claims to have the wanted item but doesn't
refer to it specifically but talks about 'the subject title' or 'the
above subject stated'. They usually claim to be from foreign countries
and the English used is pretty bad. We're not sure how the fraud works,
possibly asking for payment before delivery. Once again be warned!

SALE. HURLEY 24/70
long keel for sale. Currently ashore on its own cradle at Shore
Store in Plymouth.
CASSIS was probably built 1974. I believe the boat to have a sound
hull & decks and the sails (main & genoa) are in good
order. The spars are good, but some new fittings are needed. The
upholstery is good. The heads are good.
The Yanmar GM10 9HP is not currently working.
The boat needs attention and probably falls into the category
of Project Boat and is priced accordingly. With some
skill, some time and not a huge amount of money, CASSIS could
once again become an elegant and attractive little cruiser.
Sensible offers above £1000.00 will be seriously considered.
